Welcome to Dave Masters' Healthy At Home Blog. Of the many things that I do know, the most important is that I consistantly find that each day I know less than I thought I did. As the ever-changing Universe whizzes around me, I am often amazed at its vastness and reminded of my lack of significance. Up 'til now, my life has been a frantic journey, filled with love for my family, a lovely (and sometimes insane) music soundtrack, successes and failures.
So, good, bad or indifferent... here you'll see the rest of my life unfold as I approach my fifties and beyond.
Thanks for stopping by, for whatever reason...
We proudly support our Troops and thier families
This is a later posting than I'd usually do, especially when I get up at, like 3 in the morning.
Politics on the job is getting annoying with staff-on-staff and management vs. staff. Same ol' same ol.
Looks like Liz is going to join Stan and I to work on the book project
It's interesting to watch the project take shape (evolve and morph) into - who knows what! (?)
Got to spend some time with my brother Tim, yesterday. He, his wife Andrea and son Ethan were in town on business and stopped by. Always a pleasure to be with family. It just so happens that they popped-in at the same time that we had the grandkids, Natalie and Cameron. It was a hoot!
I sure miss the olden days, when family was closer and we all saw more of each other.
Well, it's way past my bedtime... 'nighty night...
Juat another day wearing a badge... As far as jobs go, it's alright, if you like being surrounded by the most negative influences known to society.
I'm not that different from those doin' time behind bars... lookin' for a way out.
No word from Stan-the-Editor about my book treatment, yet... told Liz that I'd send her a copy of the treatment, 'cause she's in it.
Speaking of a way out, my longtime friend, for whom I've reserved the science labs for a tour tonight, bailed on me. But, he rescheduled for next Thursday.
I have, Diane, a new Associate from Olympia who joined forces with me today. Very exciting. She brings many skills to the team.
Working on a few updates to http://www.cyberspacers.com
I got a ticket for a whiz-bang special event, scheduled for the 8th... Just can't make it. Gonna see if Monica can be there in place of me, then give me the low-down.
Getting excited about goin' to Las Vegas for some EXCITING R & R w/mi amor. I LOVE THAT TOWN!
Just watched (for the first time) the first 3 episodes of ALIAS. Missed it when it aired, never saw an episode. It's alright. Looking forward to seeing some more...
Gotta admit, it ain't no LOST, or PRISON BREAK! Now, those shows ROCK! (Keep in mind, fans, they're coming up on the 20th & 22nd... Don't miss 'em.)
Well, I've been busy today. Feeling good about my just finishing up my latest book treatment. Just sent it off to the Stan-the-Editor for review. We'll see how that one goes.
I'm excited, as long time friend, Tim (it's been about 25 years), is going to join me in my DNA business! I'll be taking him on a tour of our science labs tomorrow night.
Just got off the phone with Liz Renay, and she's lovely as ever, although somewhat distracted as she's having her house painted at this very moment.
And my Granddaughter (Natalie), was nice enough to pay me a visit today. That's always exciting, especially knowing that her Mother will be moving her away, and it will be a lot more difficult to schedule visits, with them living in another State.
Just looked over Tabitha's (my daughter's) band promo photos. They are all the rave! Looks like she and EJ are really serious about this band. I've heard a few of their original songs and they are awesome. (They're just back from a European Tour with Trial.)
Met with bodybuilder, Monica, and she says she's going to be ready to work on our new cardio video in about three weeks!
My partner, Norman, is relentlessly encouraging me to take time out to go target shooting with him, and a portion of his gun collection. (I'm putting him off, while I focus my attentions on increasing my cash-flow, so that I can have more time to recreate.)
Yes, it's true. My wife, Shelley and I met via the Internet... You can see our story that was featured on Northwest Afternoon (TV show) here: http://www.ilove4u.com/tv/nwa/
That's it for
Well, for better for worse... living one's life on the Web... what can it mean? The mindless diary of a man, whose life 'til now has been quite tumultuous. Some might think that I am bi-polar, with the extreme heights of successes that I have experienced, contrasted by extreme lows. I had good luck and bad. So much for the past.
Today I am hopelessly in love with the most beautiful woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We are happily married (although we've had a few, "practice," marriages that did not fare well). It changes one's view of love, when you discover that you have found your, "soulmate."
We have six kids between us at this time. 3 boys, 3 girls, all from previous marriages, like the Brady Bunch. They are our treasures, our legacy. We're down to our last one at home, all the rest have flown the coop.
You can see our Brady Bunch page at: http://www.ghonline.com/masters/ (although somewhat annoying).
As I make entries, you're likely to see mention of a variety of things representing my life at present, with reflections of the past. Don't be surprised to see a wide variety of subject matter. Even though I am closing-in on my fifties, I still have so much to do. I would like to start writing and playing music again, and would like to make video movies (to include possibly some of the worst films ever made), two passions of mine that I am unable to pursue due to being suffocated by living life in the debtor's lane.
You can see some of my past music projects at http://www.althits.com/davemv/
In an effort to approach financial independence, that would allow me the resources and time needed to pursue my passions (music and film), I am drawing on my pervious business knowledge and experience to develop a DNA-altering health and wellness business. I believe this has the ability to offer me early retirement and financial solvency.
I am applying the DNA-enhancements to myself, and have achieved unbelievable health results, including a 45-pound weight loss over a period of 12 months, without dieting. And many other exciting results, that I may refer to along the way.
Thanks for visiting, for what it's worth,
-Dave
